ENTRY FEES
$2.00 per hat.
As many entries as desired – no restrictions
ENTRIES TAKEN: Monday, September 23, 2019 10:00am-6:30pm

All entries must be hand-carried to the Adult Fine Arts section in the Veteran’s building at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds.
ENTRIES RELEASED: Sunday, Sept 29, 2019 4:00pm-6:00pm
Those who wish to pick up their entries early will forfeit their ribbons, cash prizes and gift certificates with the exception of those who meet the qualifications listed in Veteran’s Building - YOUTH FINE ARTS, CRAFTS & HOBBIES Rules. Works not picked up at this time shall become the property of the Southern New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo.
ENTRY TAGS ARE REQUIRED FOR RELEASE OF EXHIBITS.

3. Youth (age 9 and under) Best of Lot

4. Senior (age 16-100) Second Best of Lot

5. Junior (age 10-15) Second Best of Lot

6. Youth (age 9 and under) 2nd Best of Lot

7. 3rd Best of Lot (4 prizes)

8. People’s Choice Award

9. General Awards
    1st through 3rd place and honorable mention ribbons will be given ribbons in each age group.
   
CRAZY HAT GENERAL RULES

1. Exhibitors must live in Doña Ana, Bernalillo, Catron, Grant, Hidalgo, Luna, Otero, Sierra, Socorro, Valencia and El Paso Counties.
2. All entries must be the work of the exhibitor and must have been made AFTER the close of last year’s fair. A purchased hat may be used as the base, but must be decorated by the exhibitor. The hat must be capable of BEING WORN by the exhibitor.
3. Voting for people’s choice award will begin on Wednesday Sept. 25, 2018 and will run through Saturday, Sept. 28 during fair hours WHEN VOLUNTEERS ARE AVAILABLE.
4. Any item that is deemed by the Superintendent to be in bad taste, will not be displayed.
5. All entries will be judged according to age group and must be listed on the entry form.
6. Every precaution will be taken to protect exhibits, but the fair will not be responsible for loss or damage. The owner’s themselves must take the risk of exhibiting them
